Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a seasonal gift-giving ministry offering a message of hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and Christian literature. This ministry is operated by Samaritan's Purse and actively supported by Adamsville Baptist Church.
During the national collection week in November 2007 the Adamsville Baptist Church contributed 1,072 gift boxes and, with the help of other churches, received/processed/relayed an additional 5,656 gift boxes collected from individuals, churches, and organizations in Wayne and Lenoir counties (that's a total of 6,728 gift boxes!).
