Keenagers

The seniors group at Adamsville is called the “Keenagers”. Keenagers are a valued part of our church and serve in many capacities. They gather monthly for a covered-dish meal (usually 6:30pm on the fourth Thursday of each month) and they go on quarterly trips together that focus on fellowship, food and fun. Some trips are day trips and other trips include several nights in hotels. Past trips have included Washington, D.C.; Atlanta, GA; Myrtle Beach, SC; and Gatlinburg, TN. They usually have their own Christmas dinner in the Sears Fellowship Hall each December. Our Keenagers also participate with the Baptist Association seniors, called the NABS (Neuse Association Baptist Seniors). The NABS hold bi-annual covered-dish luncheons at different Baptist fellowship halls in the association and quarterly day trips that usually include the NC State Fair in Raleigh each year. For more information about upcoming Keenager and NABS events you may contact Turner Rushton, Betty Buchanan, or Pastor Ted Manby.
